No sooner said than done, software downloaded, installed and then connected the camera. According to an appendix to the booklets, the software must first be installed before the webcam can be connected via the USB plug. In the packaging you will find next to the webcam a lens cap and some booklets, the software can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. Referred to this Webcam by an acquaintance because of its easy installation and its sublime image quality. In stock is delivered the next day, something that they know how to make every time. Ordering and having it delivered at Coolblue is almost self-evident. And that's a bit disappointing.Īll in all, if you still have a rubber band in the kitchen drawer for the lens cap and you don't need the built-in microphone for recording sound, a very good cam for a reasonable price.

Since I only want to use the cam for images and use a separate microphone for the sound, this is not a major objection in my case, but I suspect that there are enough people who trust that the microphone delivers good quality. At a somewhat greater distance, it picks up too much ambient noise. Unfortunately, this has not been taken into account with regard to the microphone.

And if a microphone is on a tripod, the distance between cam and subject is usually somewhat greater. When you enable a tripod mount with a webcam, you can expect that this will be used. A rubber band helps, but it would have been nice if the lens cap itself would be a bit more secure. Unfortunately, that lens cap is very loose and you can easily lose it. However, there are also a few small points that are less attractive.Īs far as I know, this cam is the only one - at least one of the few - that comes with a lens cap. Picture is good, installation easy and the cam works straight away with all the software I use. I bought this cam because of the possibility to mount it on a tripod.
